A Peterson Pawpaws selection and seedling tree grown from the collection at the Blandy Experimental Farm in Virginia. Patented in 2004 originally under the name Levfiv. Responds well to pruning. Quite possibly the best variety for shipping. Holds up well at room temperate for a week and as much as a month in refrigeration.

The Fruit
Fruit few, large seeds, 3.3% by weight. Excellent for shipping and is the firmest pawpaw available to date. Thick and tough skin. The overall look of the fruit resembles mangoes.
Fruit Quality Can keep for 1 month in refrigeration.
Fruit’s skin color when ripe pale yellow-green. Color break from green-blue at maturity signifies harvest time. Also, a brownish collar forms when fruit are mature.
Fruit Flavor mild, extremely sweet, free of bitterness or astringency, with a pleasant, lasting aftertaste.
Fruit texture extremely fleshy, firm and smooth resembling the texture of Haas Avocado.
Flesh color medium yellow.
Fruit size large. Up to 16oz. each.
